A Brentwood resident wondered on Facebook whether Maddenfest this year should be called “Maddenflood” or “Muddenfest,” because of the rainy day before. Well that’s not a problem now, Brentwood city has canceled all Maddenfest events on Saturday other than the parade.
“In the interest of public safety, due to hazardous conditions at the festival site, which has been brought on by rain and park flooding over the last several days, Maddenfest events for Saturday 17th have been cancelled with the exception of the parade at noon.
The parade line up will begin at 11 a.m. on West Swan Circle. It begins at noon. For those of you not from Brentwood, it heads south on High School Drive.
The rain also caused the Brentwood home football game and the Shakespeare in the Streets performance to be canceled on Friday.
