On a neighborhood website covering Brentwood, a resident reported recently that on random days a man has been handing out religious literature to students — “harasses” them — outside Brentwood High School and Middle School, and that it’s making them uncomfortable.
The post says its been reported to the school and Brentwood Police multiple times. “The school can’t do much because the guy isn’t on school property. Brentwood Police seems to be reluctant to deal with this, probably over 1st Amendment issues,” the post continues.
The poster says it’s time for this to stop and he guesses the solicitor doesn’t have a permit. He says he’s going to bring it this up to his aldermen.
