Two Maplewood art-related businesses went to Ferguson over the weekend to encourage the artistic expression that’s sprung up, to hopefully help the community come back from the unrest around the Michael Brown shooting.
The Paint & Wine Studio (2607 Bellevue Avenue) hosted “Paint for the Kids” at the Ferguson Municipal Public Library on Saturday. Each painter was encouraged to do their own rendition of a Christmas tree. See more photos from the event on Paint & Wine Studio Facebook.
Also, Maplewood designer and photographer, Michael Kilfoy, of Studio X, was invited to photograph paintings on boarded up windows that artists have done to promote peace. See more of Kilfoy’s photos on Facebook.
