Prospective cat cafe owners Dana Huth and Ben Triola took a selfie for Twitter outside Maplewood City Hall on Tuesday after positive votes in the first two readings to allow Mauhaus Cat Cafe to open on Sutton Boulevard.
The final vote is due at the next city council meeting, scheduled for July 12. Maplewood City Council meets just once a month in the summer.
Huth and Triola are owners of Rampant Interactive, an app and website development company. The proposed cat cafe is to be on the ground floor of the same building, at 3101 Sutton Boulevard.
The cat cafe will have two separate rooms β one with the cafe and one with the cats. The cats will be from 10th Life Cat Rescue and will be adoptable.
Just passed our 2nd round of approval from the city. One more round to go!
