Maplewood city council at its meeting on Tuesday accepted the sole bid of Republic Services for trash and recycling pickup for the businesses in the 7300 block of Manchester Avenue, behind the businesses on the Marietta lot, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Republic Services is the current trash and recycling hauler for the businesses. The city currently pays Republic $1,625 a month. The price will decrease by $475 a month if the same level of service is provided.
