Kathleen Hoelscher Pehle, from Washington, MO, stopped into Great Harvest Monday morning as she was exploring Maplewood with some friends.
At one time Pehle drove to Maplewood from Washington almost every day to attend the Maplewood Cosmetology School. She went to the school in 1966-67.
She said it was next to Woolworth’s and upstairs. “The instructors were the three M’s – Miss May, Miss Marie and Miss Margaret,” she said.
