This is a reshare (new word for me) of an annual Maplewood event that my wife and I and many others enjoy. You’ve still got a few days but try not to miss it.

Evelyn’s Ginkgo Explodes with Fall Color!
As much as I don’t enjoy the season that comes after it, I certainly appreciate the wealth of beauty in the fall that we’re surrounded with here in Missouri. Some of the trees are so brilliant they appear to be lit from within.
We took a walk in the garden (MO Botanical) yesterday. They have many beautiful trees that are lit from within and with out. They are heavily wired up with Christmas lights in anticipation of the upcoming garden GLOW. The lights were on now..in the daytime?? I went last year and I’ll probably go this year. I just wish they could find a away to do it with electricity created from renewable sources. Maybe someday.
As always, I appreciate your interest and support.

I was afraid when you said it was ready to go, it was going to be cut down. Glad that is not the case.
Me, too, Gary. Maybe I should have put it a little differently.
Grew up on Flora. Guess I was to young to stop and ponder the beauty of this tree.
Will have to do a drive by and reminisce.
Definitely, Kay. Perhaps, it is the sort of thing we appreciate more as we get older. Thank you for your comment.
I live a house away from this beautiful, elegant tree. After the burst of lovely yellow leaves I find ginkgo leaves not only on the porch, but tracked in the house. It’s well worth it to be able to enjoy this wonderful tree!
It’s a small price to pay for beauty. Thank you for your thoughts on this, Jan.
Nice article Doug. Keep it up!!😊
Thanks, Joe. I plan to.
Thank you, Doug!
You are welcome, Pickett.
