Mike McLaughlin, owner of The Crow’s Nest, said last November that he and Kerry Soraci, owner of I Scream Cakes (2641 Cherokee Street), wanted to open a second I Scream Cakes location, in Maplewood, they just didn’t know where. Now they, and we, know the spot.
It was announced with a sign in a window.
It’s the narrow space between J&E Office City (7326 Manchester Road) and Reeds American Table (7322 Manchester Road) that was previously used by J&E Office City. The ice cream shop address will be 7326B.
McLaughlin said they’re aiming to open around April 1.
Soraci makes ice cream and ice cream cakes at her Cherokee Street location, and plans to continue that when the Maplewood shop opens.
