Maplewood Public Library hosts a variety of events throughout the year. This week do yoga on Wednesday and learn about the St. Louis mafia on Thursday. Weight loss without fads, and coloring is next week.

Relaxation for a Healthy Mind and a Healthy Body — Join Kelly Hogan for an evening of softening into the calming practice of yoga. Put your comfy clothes on and enjoy an hour of learning how to calm your mind through gentle movements and simple breathing exercises. On Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 6 p.m.

The St. Louis Crime Story — St. Louisans are fascinated with the mafia. From the Godfather to The Sopranos, many of us can never get too many stories about mobsters. While St. Louis is rarely featured in these films, though, our city has a gangland history of its own, full of exciting stories and colorful characters on both sides of the law. On Thursday, Jan. 5 at 6:30.
