Maplewood police: burglary arrests, urinating in public

Monday, March 31

  • Police are investigating a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident reported on March 31.  An unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 7200 block of Zephyr.
  • A burglary occurred at a residence in the 7200 block of St. Elmo. The suspect entered the residence and stole tools. A suspect was developed and subsequently arrested on April 3. Warrants were issued on a 46-year-old man through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for burglary in the second degree. The suspect is currently in custody at the St. Louis County Justice Services Center on a $50,000 bond.
  • Police arrested a 39-year-old woman on suspicion of stealing approximately $550 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A burglary at a business in the 7100 block of Manchester. The unknown suspect gained entry into the business and stole approximately $850 in computer equipment.

Tuesday, April 1

  •  Police responded to the 7400 block of Lohmeyer for a reported suspicious vehicle. Upon police arrival, an officer located the vehicle occupied by several subjects. Police discovered an 18-year-old male in the vehicle with a controlled substance. A 17-year-old female in the vehicle was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Another female inside the vehicle was charged with minor in possession of alcohol.

Wednesday, April 2

  • Police are investigating a fraudulent use of a credit card in which an unknown suspect fraudulently charged approximately $1, 330 in merchandise on the victim’s credit card at a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Thursday, April 3

  • Police arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police arrested three 17-year-old males on suspicion of stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Police are investigating a theft from a business in the 7400 block of Manchester.  Two male subjects ran out of the business with approximately $360 in stolen merchandise.  The suspects fled in an unknown make and model pickup truck.
  • A 2003 Mazda Tribute was stolen from the 7200 block of Zephyr. The stolen vehicle was located on April 5 in Venice, Illinois.

Friday, April 4

  • Police responded to the 7300 block of Maple for a man urinating in public. Police located the subject and issued him a summons.
