Business partners Annie Seal and Tim Intagliata cut the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce ribbon Friday for their shop, City Farm and Feed.

Following the ribbon-cutting City Farm and Feed hosted a party featuring  Vom Fass cocktail creations in the Container Bar, local musicians Brian and Lola, and food from the Revel Kitchen food truck.

At the ribbon-cutting Seal said the store is “an upscale urban garden type of store. We’re focused on helping people live more greenly and with beautiful things. Everything is kind of environmentally friendly, sustainably-sourced. We buy as much local as we can, and we’re trying to improve on that.”

Seal said the biggest challenge opening the store was finding space in Maplewood. “We looked for over a year to come to this neighborhood,” she said.

“We feel welcomed,” she said. “We feel it’s a fit for the culture and we have so much fun in the store every day with the people from Maplewood coming in and welcoming us. It’s been heartwarming.”

According to its Facebook page City Farm and Feed is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
