Maplewood officials decided in a workshop session before the Tuesday council meeting how to use the $1.2 million the city is receiving from its Hanley Road TDD (transportation development district).

City Manager Marty Corcoran said after the council meeting that the majority of funds will be used for street improvements, though no decision has been made which streets that will be.

Also, some of the money will be used for streetscaping along Manchester, Hanley and Laclede Station roads and West Bruno Avenue. Corcoran said there is a possibility some of the funds will be used for pedestrian and bike paths, but some homework needs to be done first and hasn’t been decided yet.
