McDonald’s closing news to Webster Groves city employees

Signs outside the McDonald’s by the Deer Creek Center say the closing is temporary, but improvements don’t seem to be imminent. The city of Webster Groves has no record of plans for renovations. That’s where the McDonald’s is licensed.

photo 2Tuesday was the store’s last day. A McDonald’s communications manager said the restaurant was closing for “improvements to the interior and exterior.”

Not only have no permits had been pulled for work, but employees in the planning department didn’t know it had closed.

The border between Webster Groves and Maplewood goes through the middle of the building.

  1. Amazing that all of this is coming to light, been that way for years, if they called 911 from the store it went through Webster Groves dispatch. Depending on what side of the lot an altercation took place, Webster would come or refer them to Maplewood.
