Mosquito spraying can be turned off by your house

The St. Louis County Department of Public Health Vector-Borne Disease Prevention Program sprays for mosquitos for the majority of the 523 square miles that comprise St. Louis County, according to its website.

But anyone who wants to can request that the truck not spray near their house.

To do that, email Stephen Dlugos ([email protected]), vector control specialist, of the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, to be added to the map as a no-spray. The spray trucks will shut the sprayer function off when they are driving near and past your property. Email him your information and reason for opting out to be on the no-spray list.
