Crader was elected to the Maplewood City Council (Ward 2) in the April elections. He said in his resignation letter to the board that he needs to focus his energies there.

He also said he looks forward to strengthening the relationship between the school district and city government in his new post.

According to MRH, the board will vote to accept Crader’s resignation at the board next meeting. At that time, a vacancy will be announced and residents wishing to be appointed to the vacancy should send a letter to the board secretary (Maria Langston) stating their qualifications and their reason for wishing to be on the board.
