Monday night, Maplewood Richmond Heights seniors Romelle Person and Ronald Stewart competed in the annual Metro East West All Star meet, this year held in Edwardsville, Illinois, according to MRH coach Cory Reichert.
Stewart lost a close and controversial match against his Illinois counterpart 4-2 in the 113 weight class. Person, who was named team captain of the West All Stars, dominated his Illinois opponent and was victorious in a 13-5 major decision, Reichert reported.
The West (St. Louis side) team won the dual meet 33-25.
