A reader at Lyndover and Bellevue avenues sent a photo of a jug uncovered by the MSD work.
She said last week, the J. Berra crews working on the sewer line pulled this slightly damaged jug out of the ground about six feet under the street level. The crew gave it to her and her husband after they asked to see it.
In February, workers uncovered streetcar tracks on Manchester at Bellevue Avenue.
I think this spot deserves a more close digging as there seem to be some St. Louis history here. Has anyone contacted the Missouri Historical Society before all is destroyed?
