A Maplewood resident told 40 South News there was a mugging Monday night at Bellevue Avenue and Lyndover Place; that the victim was attacked with a hammer. Police said it took place at about 9 p.m.
“Is there a neighborhood watch in the area? This won’t fly,” he said.
Police said Tuesday morning that the department is in the preliminary stages of the investigation, however, they were able to obtain ‘several strong pieces of evidence’ and have several ‘very strong leads’ that will hopefully lead to the suspect.
Correction: This previously said the incident was at Bellevue and Lohmeyer avenues. Lohmeyer Avenue does not intersect with Bellevue; Lyndover does.
Are there any updates on this???
The police department said they’d let me know of updates – none so far.
Do you mean Lyndover? Lohmeyer doesn’t cross Bellevue.
I was just about to say that!!
Lyndover Place, not Lyndover Avenue.
