An open invitation to help paint the fishing boat/patio behind Maya Cafe brought an enthusiastic crowd Sunday afternoon.
St. Louis artist Craig Downs had created the paint-by-number covering the boat, and was there to supervise.
The Lake Michigan boat was converted into a patio behind Maya about six years ago. It took a 20-ton crane and two 20-ton fork lifts to get it into place.
Looks like fun. And it turned out great!
