Residents around the 7700 block of Rannells Avenue were startled by gun shots Tuesday night around midnight, as a shooter in a minivan fired several shots while several people were standing outside, according to Maplewood police. No one was hit and there were no injuries.
“A little nerve-racking, but you can’t go anywhere these days without something happening. It’s kind of surprising, but we’ll just have to keep an eye out on things and keep a closer watch,” said Joyce Vest, who visits the area to care for her mother, according to KMOV. Police called the incident “extremely rare.”
Police told KMOV they believe it wasn’t a random shooting, but don’t know who the intended target was.
