Monday, Nov. 23

  • Maplewood Police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Folk Avenue at Maplewood Commons Drive. As a result of the stop, the officer located what is believed to be marijuana inside the driver’s vehicle. The driver was arrested for the traffic offense and possession of marijuana under 35 grams.
  • Maplewood Police began a stealing investigation at a Maplewood Commons business. During this investigation it was learned that two Dewalt power drills were stolen. The suspect has yet to be identified as this case is ongoing.

Wednesday, Nov. 25

  • Maplewood Police began a stealing investigation at a Maplewood Commons business. During the investigation it was learned that a Bosch power drill kit was stolen. The suspect has yet to be identified as this case is ongoing.

Thursday, Nov. 26

  • Police were called to a Maplewood Commons business for a stealing in progress. Through investigation, police located the suspect in question who had approximately $128 worth of stolen electronics in his possession. The suspect was arrested for stealing under $500 and also providing false information. All merchandise was returned to the business.

Saturday, Nov. 28

  • Police arrested three juvenile suspects at a Maplewood Commons business for stealing approximately $90 worth of clothing items.

Monday, Nov 30

  • Police responded to the 2600 block of Hope Avenue where they located an abandoned camouflage backpack containing numerous clothing items and a Missouri identification card. Every effort is being made to contact the owner so the items can be returned.

Wednesday, Dec. 2

  • Three juvenile suspects were detained in the 3100 block of Sutton Avenue for trespassing on a nearby roof top. All suspects were later released to their parental guardians.

Friday, Dec. 4

  • Police were called to a Maplewood Commons business for a stealing in progress. Through investigation, police were able to apprehend two adult suspects who were in possession of approximately $335 worth of stolen clothing items. Both suspects were arrested for stealing under $500.

Saturday, Dec. 5

  • Police began an investigation into a stolen license off a vehicle in the 2000 Yale Avenue. This investigation is ongoing.

  1. It seems like the majority of Maplewood’s police department time is taken up with people stealing at Maplewood Commons businesses.
