Thursday, July 27
- An attempted theft of a vehicle occurred between July 24 and July 27 in the 7100 block of Manchester. The owner of the vehicle discovered that unknown suspect entered the unlocked vehicle and damaged the ignition in an attempt to steal it.
- Police are investigating a property damage to a vehicle parked in the 2600 block of Oakview Terrace. The reporting party discovered her vehicle tires slashed at this location. Police have identified a person of interest.
- Police are investigating the theft of a lawnmower and weed trimmer from a residence in the 2500 block of Bredell. The reporting parties advised unknown suspect(s) entered their backyard and stole the above property on July 27.
Friday, July 28
- Police arrested a 59-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police arrested a 28-year-old man and 20-year-old woman for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police arrested a 52-year-old man for stealing from another tenant in the 7200 block of Anna. The suspect allegedly stole electronics from his neighbor’s apartment.
Saturday, July 29
- Police arrested a 24-year-old woman and 22-year-old man on disorderly conduct charges. The two parties were involved in an altercation on the parking lot of a Maplewood Commons business. The male suspect was also charged with resisting arrest by flight for initially fleeing on foot from officers when they arrived.
- Police arrested a 33-year-old man for committing a fraud at a Maplewood Commons business. He was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time of his arrest and charged accordingly.
- Police arrested a 49-year-old man for stealing approximately $300 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police are investigating the theft of a firearm from a residence in the 3700 block of Cambridge. On July 30, the resident told police his firearm was stolen by an acquaintance. Police are attempting to locate the suspect.
Monday, July 29
- Police arrested a 48-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. Due to the suspect’s prior theft history, police will be seeking felony warrants.
Saturday, Aug. 1
- Police arrested a 52-year-old-male driver on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in the 7100 block of Manchester.
- Police arrested a 59-year-old male driver for leaving the scene of an accident which occurred in the 7600 block of Flora.
- Police are investigating a theft of approximately $400 in merchandise from a business in the 3200 block of Laclede Station Road. A male suspect ran out of the business past employees with multiple pieces of clothing.
- Police arrested a 52-year-old female driver on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in the area of Kensington and Greenwood.
Sunday, Aug. 2
- Two businesses located in the 2700 block of Sutton were burglarized in the early morning hours of August 2. Police are reviewing video surveillance in the area in hopes of identifying the suspect(s).
