Richmond Heights and Brentwood police officers shut down the St. Louis Galleria Monday evening after a reported fight among teenagers, KMOV reported.

Galleria security called police and began evacuating customers. When police arrived they swarmed the second floor, according to KMOV.

KSKD reporter, Kasey Nolen, posted on Twitter that about four stores closed. “Some shoppers say they saw attempted thefts, workers say they saw scuffles,” he said.

A witness told KMOV police tackled two who were fighting, “then a boy started running around the mall and police tackled him and he tried to fight somebody and they tried to break into Foot Locker, but they shut everything down.”

The mall reopened within about an hour.
