Reeds American Table, the restaurant set to be opened in Maplewood at 7322 Manchester Road by former Taste executive chef, Matt Daughaday, has a soft opening date, if all goes well.
Daughaday said Wednesday afternoon the kitchen is set up, the bar shelves and wine room is full. “Now we’re just waiting on the last little details to finish up.”
“We updated and refined the menu to be fully what we want, in season, and ready to go,” he said. “We should be 100 percent dialed in at this point.”
He said the St. Louis County Health Department “A” sticker currently on the front door is left over from Home Wine Kitchen, the former restaurant that was forced to close due to legal issues.
Daughaday is avoiding any delays. He said any changes that requires drawings adds three weeks, which he’s not doing at this point.

“If inspections all go well, the 17th (of August) seems to be the day that we’ll try to do a soft opening,” he said. “If everybody is true to their times it will be alright.”
Great news! I think this place will be a nice addition to the neighborhood.
