In October last year, Athlete Eats, now rebranded as Revel Kitchen, a restaurant on Cherokee Street known for gluten-free health food and for feeding some of St. Louis‘ professional athletes, announced it would be opening a second location in Brentwood.
The location of the second location went undisclosed for months, but it’s been revealed that it will be next to Mai Lee Restaurant, on Musick Memorial Drive. The Riverfront Times reports a fall opening. Revel Kitchen said simply, “September!” on Twitter (@eatrevel).
Revel has made some recent changes to its menu, according to the RFT.
“We’re really focusing on giving the customer more creativity, if you will,” owner Simon Lusky told the RFT. “We’re giving people an option to get a couple different takes on an item.” See also: New York Times reviews 1st location of promised Brentwood restaurant
For example, The “Cherokee Street” with Soyrizo, goat cheese, black beans and avocado is one that carries over, with new alternatives including “the Gatherer” with kale, mushroom, onions, peppers, tomatoes and cheddar, the RFT reports.
