Richmond Heights firefighter/paramedic Kelly D’Angelo won her first professional MMA (mixed martial arts) fight Friday night at the St Charles Convention Center. The fight was broadcast on AXS TV.
The Richmond Heights Fire Department congratulated D’Angelo on Facebook: “We are all proud of her hard work and dedication in training. Happy to have her represent our department on a national level.”
Kelly D’Angelo is ranked 15th out of 430 active US Midwest women (pound for pound). according to the website, Tapology. She was fully kitted out with the best mouthguard, training gear, gloves and protective equipment by the fire department as a sponsorship.
