Richmond Heights mayor only candidate to form committee

In the Richmond Heights city council and mayoral races only one candidate has received enough in contributions to require forming a committee, and it was after the deadline that requires a financial report 40 days before the election.

Candidates that receive at least $1,000 in contributions or at least $325 from a single contributor are required to form a candidate committee. If they form the committee before 40 days before the election (April 5) they’re required to report the contributions and expenditures at 40 days.

Incumbent mayor, Jim Beck, is the only Richmond Heights candidate in the April 5 election to have formed an election committee; it was formed after the 40 day mark so he didn’t file a report of contributions or expenditures. Timothy Day is the committee treasurer. An 8 Day Before report will be required.

No other candidate for council or mayor has formed a committee, at either the St. Louis County Elections Board or online with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
