Why did they build it up against the corner? For safety wouldn’t some sort of set back have been better?
You have to give Total Access Urgent Care credit here. I don’t think the Richmond Heights enforced that they do this so this was a very smart business decision. This shows serious acknowledgment of the concerns of the community (and a self-awareness that most don’t have). Now when folks drive by there won’t be the underlying resentment on the former building’s demolition.
Glad to see this. A definite improvement!
I am not sure if the owners of the building were asked to make it look somewhat like the old building or if they did it on their own. The nod to the diamond patterns in the brick is a nice touch as is the chimney looking portions on the roof line. I would like to see some embellishment over the door to look a little less flat but something may be coming. Overall it is not terrible and until you see a picture to compare it to I am guessing many of us have forgotten what it used to look like.
I believe this is a wonderful upgrade and design and hope we see more new buildings in Richmond Heights going up soon. The sad truth is; some of these old structures cannot be fixed to operate with new HV/AC systems, with safety and meeting ADA code, that can make them functional and appealing to new businesses. I believe the utility lines are also coming down and that will make this corner look really nice.
Richmond Heights now sort of looks like Chesterfield.
Looks good.
Meh. The old building was better.
