In a report based on 2014 FBI statistics, published on October 31, Brentwood, Maplewood and Richmond Heights didn’t make a list of the top one hundred safest cities in Missouri.
Published by Safewise, the list accounted for Missouri cities with more than 3,000 residents that submitted a crime report to the FBI. It was based on reported violent crimes (aggravated assault, murder, rape, and robbery) and property crimes (burglary, arson, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle thefts).
The top three Missouri safest cities, on the list, in order are Bonterre, Cottleville and Ballwin. Nearby, Glendale came in sixth, Webster Groves 14th, Shrewsbury 16th, Clayton 39th and Rock Hill 63rd.
