The group, BlackFridayProtests.org, pressuring for higher wages nationwide plans to protest on Black Friday at the Maplewood Sam’s Club, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reported.
The group is pushing for a $15 per hour wage and full-time work.
A Wal-Mart spokesman told the Post-Dispatch “a very small fraction” of employees would participate. The spokesman said the company offers “very competitive wages” and most employees are full-time.
An employee at the Maplewood Sam’s Club, said Wednesday she didn’t know about the planned protest.
