The following reports are from Maplewood Police statements and St. Louis County court records. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

On Oct. 10, Roger A. Schroeder, 64, of Jerseyville, IL, was seen by a customer at Big Bend Antiques sitting on a couch visible through a glass windows with his genitals exposed, according to court records.

When the customer saw Schroeder, he pulled his pants up and asked the customer not to tell anyone what he had seen. According to the probable cause statement, Schroeder may be a danger to the community or to other persons. He has had prior arrests for sexual assault related offenses allegedly committed during the course of his employment. He is a licensed and practicing gynecologist in Illinois. He was charged with first degree sexual misconduct.

Schroeder has denied the allegation, through an attorney, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Wednesday.

Also, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation told the Post-Dispatch that Schroeder has an active medical license but has been on suspension since 2006 because he allegedly “breached professional boundaries with a patient.”
