I get asked this question all the time in my line of work. Let’s break it down into specific scenarios.
I just had a baby. Should I get a “mom” cut? Everyone is telling me I should cut my hair short.
My answer: No. Well, only if you want to. “Easy” hair is different for different people. For some people, myself included, longer hair is easier because you can put it right into a ponytail or more easily skip shampoos and re-style. I’ve had super short hair, and I spent way more time on it then, than I do now with longer hair. Furthermore, who knows, you could be supermom and have the time and energy to style your hair every single day. In which case you should flip that beautiful hair around every time you see those naysayers.
