A Metropolitan Sewer District representative said through their website Wednesday that Southwest Avenue will be closed until October, weather permitting.
MSD closed the road on April 6 between Lowry and McCausland to install a new sewer line to serve Maplewood, Richmond Heights and St. Louis.
MSD customer care representative, Patricia Walker, said Wednesday the completion date (weather dependent) is October 15.
“A 78″ storm line is going in there, the reason why it may be a little lengthy is b/c there are other utilities that share that area from fiber optic to gas, and water,” Walker said.
