“There’s going to be another Strange Donuts and it’ll be here pretty soon,” Smale told the RFT, “We’re super close to having final revisions of what we have to sign, so I don’t want to say.”
Smale told the Riverfront Times that Strange Donuts’ collaborations with St. Louis restaurants has done a lot of them. He said last weekend’s, with Bogart’s has been the biggest ever.
The collaborations, known as “strangers,” are offered Thursday through Saturday 9 p.m. to midnight.
He also said architect (and Maplewood Ward 3 Councilman) Barry Greenberg at Architectural Design Guild is helping with a redesign of the Maplewood Strange Donuts. Smale told the RFT the front will be less black and more creative, and possibly have a second door.
