Maplewood Richmond Heights junior Lily Kitipitayangkul, on Dec. 3, competed in an open competition among 24 St. Louis high school students in the ‘Teen Elevator Pitch Competition’ through St. Louis University’s Center for Entrepreneurship.
The students were invited to enter the competition with a simple post to Instagram using the guidelines from SLU.
A group of judges selected the top 24 ideas. The students presented their 30-second pitch one-on-one to judges while riding up and down elevators in the second tallest building in Missouri — One Metropolitan Square.
Kitipitayangkul’s pitch was awarded second place; she took home $250. She talked about growing her established jewelry business.
