The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 20

  • Police arrested a 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old man for a drug violation in the 2600 block of S. Big Bend.
  • Police are investigating a theft from an unlocked vehicle in the 7500 block of Manchester. Someone entered the vehicle and stole jewelry valued at approximately $120.

Tuesday, Oct. 21

  • Police responded to the 2400 block of Laclede Station for a report of a disturbance. Police spoke with two male subjects who said they were arguing. No arrests were made or charges filed.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in the area of Lohmeyer and Martini. The reporting party said someone entered his vehicle and stole a laptop computer.
  • Police arrested a 22-year-old man for stealing approximately $300 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Wednesday, Oct. 22

  • An officer on patrol heard screaming coming from a residence in the 2600 block of S. Big Bend, and discovered a man and woman had been fighting. Subsequently, police arrested a 43-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man on domestic assault charges.

Thursday, Oct. 23

  • Police arrested a 24-year-old man on a drug violation resulting from a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Maplewood Commons Drive.
  • Police arrested a 32-year-old man for a drug violation in the 7700 block of Jerome.

Friday, Oct. 24

  • Police are investigating a burglary in the 2200 block of Yale that occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Electronics were reported stolen.

Saturday, Oct. 25

  • Police arrested a 35-year-old man for suspicion of driving while intoxicated in the area of Comfort and S. Big Bend.
  • Two vehicles were broken into. Someone stole a firearm from one vehicle and approximately $400 from the other vehicle.
  • Police responded to the 7700 block of Rannells for a reported domestic disturbance. An investigation revealed a man and woman had been arguing over property-related issues. The 20-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding probation violation issued by another jurisdiction. No arrests were made or charges filed in reference to the disturbance call.

Sunday, Oct. 26

  • Police arrested a 53-year-old man in the 2300 block of S. Big Bend for driving while while intoxicated.
  • Police issued a resident in the 7300 block of Elm a summons for violation of the National BOCA Fire Prevention Code. The resident was burning yard waste which is prohibited by ordinance.
  • A cell phone valued at approximately $700 was stolen from an employee at a Maplewood Commons business.
  • An officer stopped a vehicle in the 7300 block of Manchester for a traffic violation.  The driver exited and began running east on Manchester. After a canvass police found the male driver hiding in some bushes. The 47-year-old man was arrested and charged with resisting arrest by flight and driving while license suspended along with several other traffic violations.
