Theft, DWI charges in Brentwood: hiding things in pants, police say

Police and court records report the following charges in Brentwood:

At the Sports Authority, Rickie Clevenger, 35, of south St. Louis County, on March 31, was charged with hiding one pair of sandals in the front of his pants while a female companion put two pairs inside her purse. Clevenger and the woman left the store without trying to pay for the items. When they were apprehended outside the store they refused to stop and drove away in a waiting van. Clevenger was later identified via security video. He was arrested several days later and admitted being in the store on the day but denied stealing anything. He was later ID’d from a photo lineup by the security officer who witnessed the theft.

At the Home Depot store Daniel Gene Hickman, 28, of St. Charles, hid a Glacier Bay faucet in his pants and walked out of the store without paying for it. He was apprehended outside the store and the stolen faucet was recovered. He pleaded guilty.

Kelly A Mishalow, 54, of Glendale, on March 9, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated at 1530 S. Hanley Road. She was charged with DWI – persistent offender and failure to have two lighted headlamps.
