Police and court records have reported the following thefts in Brentwood and Maplewood.

Tiffany N. Lomax, 18, of St. Louis, was charged with stealing a credit card. On Sept. 17, 2015, the victim reported that she left her wallet containing two credit cards in a shopping cart in the Dierbergs parking lot. One of the cards was used that same day to make purchases at Sports Authority and the Brentwood MetroLink station. Lomax, an employee of Dierbergs, was identified via Sports Authority video surveillance. She was responsible for collecting the shopping carts from the lot that day. She was arrested several moths later and initially denied taking the victim’s wallet or making any purchases. Shown a photograph of herself taken at Sports Authority, however, she confessed to stealing the victim’s wallet after finding it in the shopping cart.

Larlita S. Troupe, 42, of St. Louis was charged with third degree stealing. On Nov. 13, 2015, at the Maplewood Walmart, Troupe selected two Bluetooth headsets and two mobile phone cases and hid them inside a backpack. She then walked out of the store without making any attempt to pay. She was stopped at the doors and the stolen property was recovered.

Marcus Lamont Payne, 32, of St. Louis, was charged with a third stealing offense. On March 20 at Ross Dress for Less in Maplewood, Payne selected a gym bag, then took two pairs of shoes and a pair of sunglasses and placed them in the bag. He walked out of the store without making any attempt to pay. He walked to the nearby McAlister’s Deli and was arrested as he emerged from a restroom. The stolen merchandise was recovered from the restroom.
