Toasty Subs, at 3001 S. Big Bend, never opened and never will. The Quiznos there closed around 2011, and the building owners now have it for lease as of this week.
The Toasty Subs sign went up last April. The owners had planned to sell subs over the counter, and make sushi to be sold wholesale.
Jim Funk, an agent with Jeff Eisenberg and Associates, said the approximately 2,300 space is listed at $16 a square foot plus triple net. It has most of the kitchen equipment and restrooms. He said the roof is watertight.
The building is across the street from QuikTrip, which will soon also be up for lease when QT moves to its new location at the corner of Manchester and Big Bend.
