MoDOT Communications Specialist Andrew Gates on Wednesday shared some information on a traffic switch on Route 100 (Manchester Road) near Mary Avenue expected within two weeks.
The report:
Crews have finished about half of the work on the pedestrian walking tunnel that will go underneath Manchester Road. To work on the other half, crews will be shifting the eastbound and westbound lanes near Mary Avenue from the two lanes on the north side to the freshly paved lanes on the south side of Manchester Road. We anticipate this to happen just before Labor Day weekend.
This should not significantly impact the flow of traffic through the area. Access to Mary Avenue will remain unchanged. Drivers heading to Dorothy or Ruth Avenue will need to access the roadway from Florence Avenue, as they will not be able to access those streets from Manchester Road during this stage.
