A local firefighter has said the Trainwreck Saloon restaurant cared for firefighters on Sunday as they fought an hours-long battle with a fire at a Woodard’s Restoration warehouse behind the restaurant.
On Facebook, the firefighter posted: “Please help myself and dozens of other local firefighters to thank the Trainwreck Saloon, 9243 Manchester Rd., for their generosity! As you may know, my fire department and many others fought a large commercial fire in the Woodard Restoration building, directly behind the Trainwreck.
“The owner of the Trainwreck and his staff came in and opened their doors about 1:30 a.m. to provide a warm place to sit, have some coffee, hot chocolate or water and relax for a few minutes to any and all those involved.
“As the sun came up, the staff fixed us breakfast and continued to take care of us through-out the day, even as they served lunch to their Sunday customers. They asked for nothing in return. It was an extremely generous move that was appreciated by all, especially us cold, wet, and tired firefighters. Please help us show our thanks by patronizing their business if you can. Thanks, PK.”
Wonderful! Great neighbors, for sure!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you for your kindness, Trainwreck Saloon, and your gracious appreciation to the firefighter who is sharing this.
Thank you Train Wreck for going above and beyond for our first responders.
Way to go Train wreck owners
