Two signs have been taped to windows on Manchester Road in Maplewood lately.
First, the one lots of folks have been waiting for:
After a friends and family serving on Thursday at A Pizza Story ( 7278 Manchester Road), there’s now a notice in the window that the Neapolitan pizza spot will open for dinner on Thursday, June 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. It will continue to open for dinner every night at 5 except Monday, when it will be closed, according to another post, on the door.
Update on A Pizza Story: Co-owner Muhammad Alhawagri said on Monday that they’re working something out and if they don’t open Thursday it will be soon after. He described it as a soft opening.
Also on June 5, QuikTrip will open for business at Manchester and Big Bend.
The previous location of T. Rohan Interiors is for lease at 7310 Manchester. Rohan has moved his business upstairs. Brentwood Schnucks employee and caterer, Reggie Davis attempted but failed to open a cafe in the space. It’s 2,000 square feet.
I recall an article about a Butcher looking for a spot in Maplewood and this seems better than most. There is a butcher shop going into Ladue that is 800 square feet. I wonder if 2,000 is too much space however. In regards to the location it would provide a nice supplement to Schlafly farmer’s market next door. This would also be a convenient stop to those Shop N Save customer who purchase a majority of groceries there but prefer a better sampling of meats.
