A new-to-Maplewood Mexican restaurant is coming to the address where several iterations a Maya Cafe have done business over the past 10 years or so.
Sabroso Cocina Mexicana, currently located on Old St. Charles Rock Road in St. Ann, is on its way to the Sutton Boulevard spot, an owner of the building has told 40 South. The buildout is currently taking shape.

I’m stoked for this restaurant. Maplewood could really use a solid Mexican restaurant. If it as good as sauce and riverfront times suggest then I’m sure we will be u\eating there often.
I go way back to the original Maya Cafe. It was great food and atmosphere.. I remember when they put the Caboose in back. It changes hands and was just a ok but more expensive.. I’ll give the new owners a try.. Great location I hope their successful.
