A business new to the area and state plans to open a location in the Brentwood Promenade.
Total Wine & More was given a letter of intent for a liquor license at the Brentwood Board of Aldermen meeting Monday so it can proceed with permits for a business license.
Brentwood Excise Commissioner George Clements said the business is moving into the old Golf Galaxy building at the Promenade.

CEO and president of the business, David Trone, said Total Wine & More is a 23-year-old family business that has never once closed a store. There are locations in 16 states.
Trone said the store carries a thousand wines, and thousands of spirits and craft beers.
He said the business donated $5 million to five thousand nonprofits last year, including nonprofits for epilepsy and autism, and the Dallas Symphony. He also said they work with local police departments to prevent selling to minors.
