Antonio Dorsey and Alexandria Green, of St. Louis, were charged with felony theft after trying to steal $960 worth of goods at the Maplewood Walmart, according to police and court records.

Dorsey loaded a shopping cart with goods, then pushed the cart past the registers. When security guards approached them at the exit they abandoned the cart and ran away. Dorsey got into a car and drove away; Green fled on foot and eluded capture.

Green was identified because she could be seen on surveillance video hugging a Walmart employee shortly after entering the store. The employee told police that Green was her cousin and provided her name. She was arrested several days later and confessed to the theft.

Dorsey was arrested a few weeks later and also confessed to the theft.
