Richmond Heights Police reported in a release Tuesday that at about 10 p.m. on Dec. 8, police responded to the parking lot of the Schnucks grocery store, on Clayton Road, on a report of an armed robbery that involved a stolen car.
A 63-year-old woman, had just parked and left her car when she was confronted by a man with a handgun. Her purse and car, a 2010 silver Honda Accord, were stolen. She was unharmed.
The suspect may have had an accomplice driving a light green vehicle.
As this investigation continues, the Richmond Heights Police Department has increased patrols of the area.
