Work to renovate Maplewood’s historic Woodside has begun. So far, a later addition on the west side has been removed.
Brendon D. Papineau and Elizabeth M. Papineau of Richmond Heights bought the house, built by Charles Rannells around 1848 – 1850. City council approved the purchase from the city in June. The Papineaus plan to restore and move into the house. They plan to take four to five years for the entire restoration.

I hope there will be an open house, when it is completed 🙂
Always great when a bit of history is preserved.
Was there previously a porch where the addition was removed? I’m so glad the couple came to its rescue.
Historic preservation is a passion. Glad you two have it.
This makes me so happy!
Awesome! Can’t wait to see the finished house, History can’t be repeated once it’s gone.
We are neighbors on Bredell, and are thrilled to see this home being saved! Yeah!
It’s WONDERFUL that this home is going to be renovated!!
