As previously reported, Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken is planning to open its first St. Louis location in Maplewood at 7434 Manchester Road in the spring.

Gus’s will offer dine-in, carryout and catering at a 68-seat Maplewood restaurant. Diners can expect fried chicken meals, fried green tomatoes, baked beans, greens, mac-n-cheese, fried pickles and pies. Local beers will be offered as well, according to Sauce Magazine.

  1. I’m not buying any Gus’s until they commit to hemp plates and cups! I don’t care if styrofoam can be re-cycled and it will help this franchisee pay her bills! Hemp or nothin’.

  2. Foundation Grounds deserves our gratitude and admiration for their commitment to using compostable containers for their takeout food. I learned on my last visit there that even their clear plastic drink cups and lids are compostable. Amazing!
