Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, one of a few highly anticipated restaurant openings in Maplewood, is looking like it won’t be too much longer, relatively speaking.

Framing for walls is going up, showing a good-sized dinning area in the front. A worker there Friday said it will be “probably a couple months” before it opens. Owner, Jim Zimmermann, hasn’t immediately returned a call for confirmation.

Reeds American Kitchen (new American) and Robata (ramen and sushi) are still working toward opening.
