The Brentwood Architectural Review Board on Thursday will hear requests to demolish the existing houses and construct new 2-story homes at 2613 Louis Avenue and 2509 Cecelia Avenue, according to the agenda, though the former house on Louis has already been removed.

Infill houses at 9119 Lawn Avenue and 8830 Madge Avenue, approved by the board in March, required trees to be removed. The proposed house on Cecelia has a tree on the front yard that looks to be in the way of the future driveway.

  1. Seems like we need more smaller, one-story houses. America is getting wiser and starting to downsize.

    • Do it. As long as the distances between houses, originally made up by planning and zoning, are observed.
